Margaret Carran is a Senior Lecturer and Deputy Associate Dean for Education at City, University London who is currently actively researching gambling law and regulation in the ever – changing global markets. She has recently completed her monograph titled ‘Gambling and Vulnerability) (publication ending) and is working on disseminating her research findings. Margaret’s other publication includes discussing the legal classification of penny auction, evaluating the regulation and impact of gambling advertising, age verification procedures and the influence of social gaming on real money gambling. She is currently evaluating the impact of Young Gambler Education Trust’s workshops on relevant stakeholders.
Margaret is committed to academic excellence in both her teaching and research and is actively working to ensure that all her students receive the highest quality, research-led educational training. She has presented her research on a variety of national and international conferences and published articles in the international legal and psychological journals.
